Geo-Gooser

A geo-gooser is a manual, portable tool for adding or checking pressure in a geothermal system’s ground loop. It’s a standard part of a geothermal technician’s kit, consisting of a gauge, a valve, and a needle assembly that connects to a garden hose to add water or loop fluid through a PT (pressure/temperature) port.

How it works

  • Attaches to a PT port on the geothermal system.
  • Connects to a water source via a garden hose.
  • Measures the system’s static pressure using a built-in gauge (0-100 PSI).
  • Adds fluid to the closed loop to increase pressure when needed.

Key features

  • Portable: Designed for easy transport and on-site use.
  • Manual: Easy to use but a technician is a good choice
  • Diagnostic: Allows technicians to read static pressure and diagnose potential issues with the loop.
  • Versatile: Can be used as a standalone tool or as part of a larger service kit that includes flush adapters and other diagnostic equipment.
